ToiletCheck is an app developed by Benju Studio (Paul Brugmans), based in the Netherlands. We help users find, rate and review public toilets worldwide.

2. What Data We Collect

• Nickname — a username you choose yourself, stored locally on your device. No real name or email required.
• Location — used only to show nearby toilets. Never stored on our servers.
• Reviews & photos — content you voluntarily submit is stored on our servers to be shown to other users.
• Usage data — basic anonymous analytics to improve the app (no personal identifiers).

3. How We Use Your Data

• To show you nearby toilet locations
• To display your reviews and photos in the app
• To improve the app and fix bugs
• We never sell your data to third parties

4. Data Storage

Your nickname and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Reviews and photos you submit are stored on our secure servers hosted in the EU.

5. Third-Party Services

• OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — for finding nearby locations
• Google Maps — for navigation (opens externally)
• Expo / EAS — for app distribution

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete any data associated with your reviews. Contact us at info@toiletcheck.app and we will handle your request within 3 business days.

7. Children

ToiletCheck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
